I bought a Jackal last year, I shot a 9 pointer and a doe, and my son also shot a doe.  I also bought a Wildcat, hated it and sold it. The Jackal isn't expensive but it's effective.

Easy to assemble.  A little on the heavy side, but it's a budget crossbow.  Good value for the price.  Go for it.
