Use this item to replace the "brain" in my Mercury 402. It was easy to install and has worked great on the river. It is the way to go instead of paying $300+ for others listed on different sites.

I sorted out that the "brain" in my old mercury 402 was fried and shopped around for another. This site had the best price ~$150 while some of the boat stores wanted over $300 for the same part! Anyway the install was easy, no modifications needed and the motor started right up and ran strong. I have only been out a couple of times on the river, but I have not had any issues with this switchbox. I should also say the unit shipped fast and I was keep up to date with the order and shipping status. Would buy from again..
