Had to give up normal archery due to shoulder. Crossbows now legal in my state. Barnett was the 3rd brand of crossbow I was introduced to by the salesmen. I'm glad I waited for it. The design, look and construction were far superior to other brands. Black Bear gave me a great deal as well. Saw 2 deer, shot two deer, season over. I quickly learned that with any crossbow, loading it has to be very mindful and particular. No short cuts. You HAVE to make your draw/pull cable as short as possible to get better leverage on the cables when loading so that it is properly cocked. What a simple and wise solution. I broke the arrow tensioner due to my own mistake and Barnett sent me out 2 free replacements right away. The crossbow is like a short range rifle. Love it.

The first crossbow I was sent had a problem with the trigger and ruined the bow.Black Bear Customer Service very helpful and contacted Barnett who replaced the crossbow with another new one, including shipping both ways. The new crossbow shoots great with no more problems. Barnett was great to deal with and never questioned the old bows damage.
